What should I expect for base, cash bonus, equity refresh, and new hire share grant? I have an offer in hand and the recruiter said itās top of band for 5b. I want to believe š½šø (and I want join).Sharing 5a or 6 would help if you donāt know 5b.TC is slightly >500k over 4 years @ $40/share. New hire grant a bit under 20k RSUs. If you donāt count equity refreshes then TC is ~420-460

That is very solid, congrats! 5B offers used to have lower RSUs in the past that I know of. Also, $40 price works in your favor IMO, that values Uber at 62B. Expecting a steep climb up.

Thanks for the deets! I agree, Uber is worth more than $62B, itās executing on all cylinders this year, Eats and Freight are rocket ships. Any idea how L5b compares to L6 at companies like goog/fb? Is it closer to a 5 or a 6 or square in the middle? Very excited about the opportunity.

It's well above my 5a, which I've been told by several is quite good.

Why would you count equity refreshes? There's nothing guaranteed about it is there?

Agreed, only evaluate offer on whatās in the offer sheet

They were on the offer sheet (at 100%) along with cash bonuses, the only thing guaranteed to me assuming I wasnāt fired was base and initial grant. The payout ranges from 75% to 300% for the discretionary items. Below 75% and your ass is grass anyway.

Hi fellow Pinterester. My 5a offer was around 17000 RSU and 180 base. First the recruiter gave me a lower offer on the phone (don't remember the numbers), and I directly said this won't work you know my competing offer numbers and this is low. Then she said it won't go any higher because of new comp policy etc. I said ok then I don't want to take your time. Then there was a week of silence, I wasnt even considering Uber anymore and they suddenly contacted again with the above offer. I said this isnt much different from the initial offer and said no again. That was it. I wrote the details for you to have an idea of the process.

Ask for 20k RSUs, not a bit under. You will get it.

Mind to share the standard bonus and refresher structure at L5b? How that differs with L5a?FB E6 these days go in $450-550k range (base $200-$250k, stock 800k-1M); of course top E5 I heard was even offered up to $500k. That being said G/FB already 600-850B valuation; these stocks donāt have room to go say 3x even in 10 years!

Meets refresher for 5B last year was ~100k but there was an additional component last year that was meant to be a one time fix. My total refresher for both came to be around ~250k. Next time around I would expect the number to be somewhere in between 100 and 250 i.e. a higher base refresher from last year but no more one time correction.

Had an L5B offer last year with TC 650k (after a couple of hard-ass negotiations). Don't include the RSU refreshes in your TC unless they are written down in your offer letter as target bonus.

Linkedin was generous in offering me slightly more than Uber and then i have benefitted a lot from the MSFT stock growth since > 12 months. Sorry, don't want to be more specific here, but you can do rough calculations. (Another major factor in consideration was that i absolutely love the folks and culture at LinkedIn.)
